LGE Design Build is an award-winning, full-service commercial general contractor that specializes in combining architecture, construction, and interior design under one roof. The goal of this project was to produce a career fair kit that would draw students to their booth. The brief was open-ended, meaning our team could decide the aesthetic and deliverables. We ultimately landed on a custom backdrop, tablecloth, stackable information cubes, stickers, a pop-up informational card, t-shirt, business card, folder, and notebook.
We approached this project with the target audience, college students, in mind. How could we make a mature, elevated brand feel approachable and inviting to college students searching for a job? Use a gritty, but clean aesthetic that meld well with their current brand assets. It feels youthful and less rigid. We wanted to give an insight into what these students' jobs could look like if they were hired.
The t-shirt design is meant to be a walking portfolio for LGE Design Build. It showcases their largest projects in a modern line art style. The corners of each build are the focal point of the design as that is what sets LGE’s buildings apart from other competitors. The stackable information cubes are meant to be an interactive piece that students can view if the main table is busy. It keeps students actively learning about the brand with short blurbs, a QR code, and intriguing imagery. Each piece in this kit was designed in a way that made students want to hold on to it even past the event.
