Kaek is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation platform made for high school and college students starting and running their own small business. The objective of this project was to plan and create a digital marketing campaign that included a website, web banner, blog articles, eblasts, and social posts for Instagram, Snapchat, and Spotify. All with the goal of encouraging more students to attend Kaek’s events. By the end of the campaign there should be a 10% increase in attendees at Kaek’s campus events.
The project began with researching what made the target audience tick—what could truly catch their eye in a landscape of passive scrolling. I thought bright, bold colors with poppy graphics could achieve this. And the use of short, but quippy language for posts and ads allowed for it to be easily remembered.
The name Kaek (pronounced like cake) came from the idea that starting a small business should “be a piece of kaek”. It embodies the type of type of company Kaek is; a helping hand that will make this journey as simple as possible. The character icon has implied movement that represents moving forward and following your dreams. The audience should see themselves in the character.
